About the Church
Located in Wichita, Kansas, Word of Life Ministries is a Spirit-filled church with a heart for worship, outreach, and practical biblical teaching. Committed to seeing lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ, WOLM offers dynamic services, active ministries for all ages, and a welcoming community focused on faith, growth, and service.
Why Christian Education Matters—And How This Church Has Made It Happen
In today’s world, offering families access to Christ-centered education is more important than ever. That’s why Word of Life Church didn’t just support Christian education—they built it.
In 1999, the church launched Life Prep Academy, an affordable, K–12 private Christian school with a college-prep curriculum. From the very beginning, students have been immersed in a faith-filled environment where every subject is taught through a biblical lens. Daily devotionals, weekly chapel services, and a strong emphasis on God’s love and truth help shape students to live out their faith in every area of life.
But Word of Life Church didn’t stop there. They:

Leased and later sold a building to support the long-term home of the school at an affordable rate

Provided prayer and financial support for the school’s growth

Continued championing Christian education as ongoing partners with HERO and leaders of Life Prep Academy
